Read several relevant employer postings before buying training. Ask which certificate, issuer and delivery format the worksite accepts, and whether the employer provides any required training. There is no single ticket package that qualifies someone for every oilfield role.

• Where is the actual worksite, and where does the shift or transport start?
• What is the rotation, shift length and expected travel time?
• Who arranges and pays for accommodation, meals and transport?
• Is a living-out allowance offered, and under what conditions?
• Are a personal vehicle or particular licence class required?

Treat an unspecified field as unknown. A city in a search result may identify a hiring base rather than the worksite.
