Apprentice Heavy\-Duty Mechanic **Nordic Energy Canada Corp. — Grande Prairie, AB** Nordic Energy Canada Corp. is looking for an **Apprentice Heavy\-Duty Mechanic** to join our shop team. We are willing to train someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. This is a hands\-on position starting on the shop floor, assisting experienced mechanics with the maintenance and repair of our trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment. **Applicants must arrive with their own basic hand tools to get started.** Responsibilities * Assist mechanics with inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs. * Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, fluid checks, and filter changes. * Help with truck, trailer, pump, and related equipment repairs as directed. * Assist with parts handling and keeping tools and work areas organized. * Record work completed and report equipment concerns. * Follow shop safety procedures and directions from supervising mechanics. What We’re Looking For * An apprentice or entry\-level candidate interested in learning the heavy\-duty mechanic trade. * Basic mechanical knowledge; previous shop experience is an asset. * Own basic hand tools suitable for starting work on the shop floor. * Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. * Willingness to take direction, ask questions, and learn. * Ability to perform physical work safely in a busy shop environment. * Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
