**Job Overview** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating heavy equipment. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will play a crucial role in safely excavating and transporting materials at various construction sites. This position requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. **Responsibilities** * Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate soil and debris safely and efficiently. * Conduct pre\-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safe operational conditions. * Collaborate with crew members to complete excavation tasks while adhering to safety protocols. * Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues. * Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. * Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors regarding project progress and challenges. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational standards. **Skills** * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. * Experience in commercial driving, particularly with hydrovac trucks or similar vehicles. * Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks. * Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices. * Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus. * Ability to work effectively in a team\-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills. * Knowledge of paving processes is advantageous but not required.
