We are currently looking for a motivated and reliable Shop Service Technician to join our team! **Job Summary** The Shop Technician is a vital support role within the Operations Department, contributing to the efficient functioning of the shop and yard, ensuring that trailers, equipment and tools are well\-maintained. This position involves collaborating with the Shop Foreman, Equipment Coordinator and service technicians to complete various tasks related to maintenance, organization, load out and general upkeep of the shop and inventory spaces. **Key Responsibilities** 1\. Equipment Maintenance \& Service * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wellsite trailers, office trailers, and ETVs, including light mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry work. * Ensure all units are clean, stocked with appropriate supplies, and in good working condition prior to deployment. * Inspect, clean, and service furnaces, hot water tanks, air conditioning units, and other trailer systems as required. * Coordinate with external vendors for oil changes, tire rotations, and other scheduled maintenance on ETVs. * Complete turnaround servicing of incoming and outgoing trailers and ETVs in a timely manner. * Work with the Equipment Coordinator to schedule and coordinate propane refills, trailer cleaning services, and supply restocking. * Update equipment software and documentation while performing maintenance tasks. * Load and unload equipment for jobs as required. 2\. Parts \& Supplies Management * Conduct routine inspections of inventory specific to trailer and ETV maintenance. * Submit orders for necessary supplies, tools, and replacement parts. * Maintain a clean and organized parts area, working with Administration to ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date. * Care for and manage Bell and Starlink equipment inventory, including tracking, organizing, and reporting on availability and condition. 3\. Shop \& Yard Maintenance * Support overall cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard, including floors, equipment, and tools. * Perform seasonal or as\-needed tasks such as painting, trash removal, and gravel yard maintenance. * Monitor and report deficiencies or needed repairs to the Shop Foreman. 4\. Additional Duties * Assist the Shop Foreman and other service technicians with tasks and projects as assigned. * Haul trailers and ETVs to and from job sites as needed. * Maintain compliance with the company Safety Manual and applicable OH\&S legislation. * Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and toolbox talks as required. Desired Qualifications * Minimum 2\-5 years industry related experience preferred * H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection and CSO training, or willingness to obtain * Possesses a valid driver’s license, clean abstract and own vehicle * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing * Organizational skills * Proactive; doesn’t wait for instruction * Strong organizational skills * Ability to prioritize tasks * Works well independently or as part of a team * Strong troubleshooting and decision\-making skills * Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety * Has experience with hauling and backing up trailers * Ability to lift heavy items or ask for assistance when required * Any basic plumbing, electrical or carpentry skills/experience We offer a great company culture with competitive compensation, based on experience.
