Our work environment includes: * Growth opportunities We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles. The successful candidate will also be knowledgeable in the use of specialized tools and equipment, and have a keen eye for detail. Our Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical issues that arise. Must have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract. Prefer Journeyman. Would look into a knowledgable apprentice 3rd year or higher and can help complete schooling. Must have a collection of own tools. Truck will have an assortment of larger tooling. Wage will depend on experience and skill level. Could be 12 hour work days. Responsibilities: * Diagnose and repair mechanical problems. * Inspect and maintain vehicles. * Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and on highway trucks and trailers. * Test and adjust components to ensure proper operation. * Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues. * Repair or replace worn parts as required. * Provide accurate estimates for repair costs. Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $35\.00\-$55\.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: * French not required Ability to commute/relocate: * Fort St. John, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * mechanical: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Journeyman (preferred) * Trade Certificate (preferred) * Class 5 Licence (required) Work Location: In person
