Job Description
**Overview** We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and a passion for the oilfield industry. This role involves operating various types of machinery to ensure efficient and safe project execution. The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality and safety on\-site. **Responsibilities** * Inspect equipment to ensure it is in safe operable condition and any servicing has been completed at the start of work shift * Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it * Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures * Ensure company equipment is maintained and kept clean, including completing minor repair work * Properly report any mechanical or safety problems with the equipment in accordance with company procedures * Follow safety protocol, including reporting all accidents and incidents immediately * Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance * Proactively communicate with supervisors and coworkers * Promote a work environment that encourages high morale, productivity, efficiency and safety * Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation, as required * Responsibilities, duties, and requirements may vary according to the project needs. **Experience** * High school diploma/GED preferred * **MUST have Loader and Skidsteer experience with multiple attachments. (Lots of the work is using pipe grapple on loader)** * **Valid class 5 driver’s license, with 3\-year drivers abstract required** * Previous grader and excavator experience is preferred but not required. * Common Safety Orientation (CSO)/BSO or CSTS 09' \& OSSA required * H2S Alive Certificate * St Johns First Aid Certificate (required or will assist in certification?) * Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment.Candidates that do not have experience with multiple attachments will not be eligible for this role. **SKILLS \& ABILITIES** * Ability to be stationary in the seat and/or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods of time * Comfortable working long hours, as well as shift work * Comfortable working away from home and staying in camp * Ability to read plans and blueprints * Comfort working in high\-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations * Ability to work in teams and communicate both verbally and written * Strong problem\-solving skills to diagnose issues with equipment * A keen eye to details and good decision\-making skills * Ability to handle emergency situations, work pressure and stress Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time, Seasonal Pay: $25\.00\-$45\.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance Experience: * Loader operation: 1 year (preferred) * Skid Steer Operation: 1 year (preferred) * Loader Grapple: 1 year (required) Work Location: On the road
