**Job Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in manufacturing safety standards and have a strong background in training and development to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees. **Duties** * Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies aligned with industry regulations and company standards. * Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards within the manufacturing environment. * Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. * Coordinate safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing development programs. * Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training completion, and compliance documentation. * Collaborate with management to update safety procedures and ensure adherence across all departments. * Promote a culture of safety through effective communication, engagement, and leadership in safety initiatives. * Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks related to manufacturing operations. **Qualifications** * Prior experience in a safety position in the oil and gas sector, specifically trucking, is considered an asset. * Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of industry\-specific safety standards. * Demonstrated experience in training \& development, with the ability to design engaging safety programs. * Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and foster employee engagement. * Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. * A proactive approach to identifying hazards and implementing preventive measures.
