We are available 24/7 to help you with your needs. **SUMMARY OF POSITION** Field Technician position is an important role to the Gateway team. We are looking to add a hard\-working individual; eager to learn, and with a positive attitude to join our team. Our field technicians play a vital role in providing the best service and expertise to our customers, needed to repair BOP’S and Accumulators as well as responding to field service calls. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * FIELD TECHNICIAN \| Operate hand tools and powered tools, * Perform work safely and diligently follow checklists, policies, processes \& procedures, * Complete appropriate paperwork for incoming/outgoing jobs, * Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment issues, * Work with varying materials/ equipment indoors and outdoors, * Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to restore full functionality, * Conduct hydraulic testing to verify successful repairs, * Perform general shop tasks as directed by the supervisor, * Perform general shop housekeeping duties, * Ability to work evenings, weekends and overtime to meet deadlines. **KEY REQUIREMENTS** * Minimum Grade 12 Education * Permanent resident of Canada, * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, * Experience working with oil \& gas equipment (BOP systems preferred) * Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills * Knowledge of field safety procedures and hazard assessments * Ability to read and interpret service records and technical documentation * Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, problem\-solving and attention to detail, * Valid drivers’ licence, * Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional \& timely manner, * Ability to work independently and as a team, * Eager to work and learn new skills. **WORKING CONDITIONS** * Positional Tasks, * Ability to lift heavy objects, * Work in varying weather conditions, * Must be able to work on feet for long periods of time, * Working evenings, weekends and overtime. **WHAT WE OFFER** * Competitive Compensation * Opportunities for overtime * Supportive team environment * Ongoing training and certification support * Dental/Extended Health care benefits **Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship.
