**Electrician – Journeyperson** \*\*Position is located in Grande Prairie, AB\*\* **ROLE STATEMENT:** The Electrician\- Journeyperson will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for addressing electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance on all components of Calfrac equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician \- Journeyperson will focus on the repair and maintenance of all Calfrac equipment to company standards. **OUR CULTURE:** Calfrac, we believe in being an integral part of the communities where we operate and we support a variety of giving activities throughout the year. Whenever possible, the initiatives and organizations we undertake to promote and support fall into the following categories: Environment, Education, Indigenous, Social Services, Arts \& Culture and Community Sport. **SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:** * Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements * Repair and maintain all Calfrac electrical equipment and components * Maintain all recording and control software * Updates and modification requests * Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis * Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs * Assist in mentoring apprentices and new employees * Develop a base understanding of fracturing and coiled tubing operations * Must attend all pre job meetings and attend safety meetings when required * Remote field work will be required **KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:** * Flexible to work a variety of shifts (shift work, night shift, day shift) * Follow and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations * Energetic self\-starter, able to work in a dynamic environment * Able to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing and maintain a high level of attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Work and inspire others to work at high performance levels * Work under physically demanding circumstances * Able to write reports and work closely with maintenance administration personnel * Experience making immediate decisions, while maintaining composure, in high pressure situations with minimal supervision * Able to operate process control equipment * Must be mechanically inclined * This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening * This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile) **SCHEDULE:** * Local: Eight (8\) days on, Six (6\) days off **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** * Accredited technical diploma in the Electronics or Electrical field or completion of Journeyman Electrician Certification * 4\-6 years of relevant experience * Advanced understanding of technical concepts is required. * Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems * Experienced with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset * Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA\-QC, and troubleshooting *Explore the abundance of the Grande Prairie \- Greenview Corridor, which showcases a booming economy, breathtaking landscapes, a warm sense of community and endless things to do.
