Job Description

Rocksaw Paving Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dependable **Class 1 Driver** to join our team for the paving and construction season in the Grande Prairie area. This is primarily **local work** hauling aggregates, asphalt, equipment, and construction materials for paving and site work operations. Applicants should be comfortable operating a variety of truck and trailer configurations and working closely with paving and base prep crews. We are looking for someone who is safety\-minded, reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in operating equipment professionally. **Responsibilities** * Hauling aggregates, gravel, asphalt, and construction materials * Local hauling for paving and base preparation operations * Operating: * Tri\-axle trucks * End dumps * Clamshells * Pup trailers * Body jobs * Some mat hauling and oilfield\-related hauling * Completing daily pre\-trip and post\-trip inspections * Securing loads safely and properly * Assisting crews when required on\-site * Maintaining clean and organized equipment * Following company safety policies and procedures * Communicating effectively with dispatch, foremen, and crew members * **Requirements** * Valid Class 1 Driver’s License * Clean driver’s abstract * Experience hauling aggregates and asphalt preferred * Experience with end dumps, pups, and clamshells considered an asset * Ability to work long hours during peak season when required * Strong work ethic and positive attitude * Ability to work safely in a fast\-paced construction environment * **What We Offer** * Competitive wages * Overtime opportunities * Local work – home most nights * Supportive team environment * Opportunity for long\-term employment with a growing company Pay: $35\.00\-$40\.00 per hour Application question(s): * Please explain how your experience is relevant to our job requirements? * Do you have 3 years of commercial with your Class 1 license?
